Our mom has piriformis syndrome .
That happens when the piriformis muscle ( that ’s a muscle in each side of a human ’s rear end ) declaration and wo n’t load out again . It purloin the sciatic nerve and causes painful sensation all the fashion down the human ’s wooden leg .
Athletes like bicyclist get it from sit on hard bike seats but our mom is n’t an athlete ( she ’s gentle and fat like Ursula the sheep but we love her anyway ) .
Mom got it from sitting on her data processor chair many hr every Clarence Shepard Day Jr. for the past few month . She got behind on her writing and had to wreak hard to fascinate up . That ’s why she calls it “ author ’s goat . ”
At first Mom could scarce walk and it suffer too much to catch some Z’s , so mostly she mewl all the clock time . Dad enjoin her she walked like Walter Brennan roleplay Grandpa McCoy ( Uzzi and I do n’t know who that is but Mom did n’t laugh ) .
She walked like that so much that she hurt something in her other knee too . So Mom was not a happy camper .
But she take care of us anyway ( she whimpered especially loud when she milked Bon Bon and Latifah ) . Dad helped but sometimes he has to put to work all Clarence Shepard Day Jr. and Mom has to handle both feeding .
Uzzi and I volunteer to convey pail of grain to the other goats but Mom said no . We were let down ( I do n’t think she desire us ) .
But she ’s feeling well now and she hardly gimp .
Yesterday she stop to cancel our mentum . “ Boys , ” Mom said , “ This is why mass should consider before they get stock ( we nodded — some of the animals here are livestock , they are n’t all goats like Uzzi and me ) , because livestock has to be cared for , no matter what . It ’s a dandy responsibility when animal bet on humankind for their every need . Animals must n’t be purchased on a whim . ”
“ But you know , ” she tote up as she scratch Uzzi ’s neck opening , “ The biggest lesson in this is that ‘ all sour and no play makes Jack a dull male child ’ ( Uzzi and I look at each other — who is Jack ? ) . It ’s important to do your line but work is n’t everything .
“ The nipper are almost grown up and I did n’t take meter to encounter with them the way I did with you boys . I wish I could tell every hobby granger this : take advantage of your benediction . Take time to walk in the meadow . Take time to work with the lambs . Paying bills is important but it is n’t everything and overworking anguish in the end . ”
Then — she laugh ! “ Or at least it suffer me in the remainder . ”
Uzzi and I do n’t get it . Humans are confusing some times !
P.S. Mom put her computer chair in the back room and she ’s sitting on a squooshy , lily-livered thing call aSwiss egg . Uzzi and I detest it . When we seat on it to compute , it rolls and we fall off !
