My pal Brian the Firefighter and his family know up in Virginia .
Over the last few years he ’s been restoring a lovely old wood home located on a little less than an Accho of ground near the seacoast . His married woman Danielle is a gifted nurseryman with an artistic flair and my sidekick is skilful at building and develop thing done . He also has an eye for item so they make a great squad .
My parents are visit them mightily now and Mom post me some picture of their garden to share here .

First … my blood brother !
And the house ( with one of my cunning niece in front ):
The soil in this area of Virginia is rich and loamy .

They ’ve had great hazard growing everything from Seminole pumpkins to peaches , raspberries , strawberries , herbaceous plant and sunflowers .
Towards the front corner of the K , there is a peach tree diagram surround by other victual :
Rosemary , raspberries , lily …

And some age ago I give Danielle a potted strawberry plant . Not only did she keep it live , she ’s procreate it .
retard out this little hemangioma simplex patch , all from that one cling handbasket :
Having a light-green thumb plus the good mood = happy strawberry .

As my parents were visiting , Brian was able to get a local tree diagram - trim back company to dump a load of mulch in the pace :
It ’s strong to beat free mulch .
By the way : if you have access to sliced woodwind chip and would wish to use them for more than just mulch , it ’s easy to make them into lot of compost . Just layer chip with some live manure – like chicken manure – or soak the cumulus of mulch multiple times in diluted urine . Get some nitrogen in there and the great deal will break down nicely into high - timbre compost for your garden .

Or , just have your married woman and daughter facilitate you spread it as mulch . It feeds the ground that way , too .
Beyond gardening , my brother ’s family also keeps chickens and duck for egg :
My pal is very good at building thing . I once take in him build a wendy house from an erstwhile wooden fence in about four hours .

We ’re talking framing , floor , roof … Brian is good .
No matter where you look , there ’s some of his handiwork , plus something growing .
Good work !
