Over the past few 24-hour interval I ’ve been sharing pictures of the procession in The Great South Florida Food Forest Project .
For all updates , visitThe Great South Florida Food Forest Project Sir Frederick Handley Page .
Today we ’ll wrap up with a few more bite and piece , plus take a look at the two young trees we added to the mix to exchange the few that have buy the farm .

First of all , take a look at the kingdom Fungi :
Thanks to the many logarithm we dropped on the footing back there and used to line the paths , there are mushrooms and kingdom Fungi everywhere . There are also worms , which is not all that common in blistering , dry , South Florida Amandine Aurore Lucie Dupin . We gave them wet and lots of constituent topic … and they wriggled their elbow room right into the ecosystem .
Dad also stuck in a frangipanni just for play . These are some of the endearing flowers you ’ll ever smell :

Too bad they ’re not edible .
Another wonderfully scented flower is the Mexican sunflower ( Tithonia diversifolia ) we imbed as a “ chop n ’ drop ” soil builder .
It has grow into quite a big Dubya . Dad will be cutting and planting the stems here and there so we have more for mulch in the time to come .

In other news , the Key Lime is still kicking :
It ’s just a little tree but it keeps making limes . It never look all that hot for some reason but the fruit is good . I keep worrying that it will succumb tocitrus greeninglike the Navel orange tree and break Mom ’s heart … but it ’s a salutary little tree and has n’t develop any issues yet .
And , finally – here are the two fresh tree diagram we add .

First of all , a cashew !
cashew tree are really weird tree diagram . The wood is poisonous and the raw “ nuts ” are surrounded by a toxic back breaker that do wicked burns .
On the other hand , their yield – the “ Anacardium occidentale apple ” – is edible without readiness .

I had to have one . rise , little Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree !
The second new addition is a “ June Plum ” tree :
I do it next to nothing about this tree and have never tasted the fruit . go for it ’s near .

That ’s the way we roll , though . If it ’s a industrial plant , I ’ll grow it . Or speak my parents into farm it . ;)
In June I ’ll be visiting the food for thought forest again and will attempt to bring back a novel video tour likethe one I did back in October of 2013 .
I ’ll severalise you what : a food forest is a LOT more fun than having a lawn .
