SixOnSaturday

I ’m baaaack ! In fact we come home a Clarence Day betimes as the weather was a bit dirt Devon way . Yesterday was spend tutting at the state of the garden . I mow the lawn , which helped , but I ’m really cheesed off with the bindweed , which this yr seems specially rampant . I may also have overdone it with the whole growing thing from seed affair this class . I just had too many belittled plants in a precarious and already neglect land when I went on hols . Now I just have dried out husk . I might go cold turkey next year and grow nothing from seed . Oh , and do n’t get me begin on the dahlias . Anyhow , enough whining , clock time for Six on Saturday .   Six things , in the garden , on a Saturday . Could be anything , you settle . conjoin in !

Here are my Six for this week .

1 . Osteospermum . Carefully nurtured through the winter in the nursery , these two survivors from last summertime are bushing out and blossom nicely in one of my patio plantation owner .

2 . Phlox , purple . I bought this as a smallish industrial plant last year , it did n’t get to more than 18 inches . Compact , I thought , overnice . This year it is three feet tall and need supporting .

3 . Aster frikartii ‘ Mönch ’ . I might need to move this , it is now largely hidden behind a very vigorous clump of cape figwort . Still , it flower well and can be see poking it ’s olfactory organ above the palisade leaf .

4 . Verbascum ‘ Snowy Spires ’ . Grown from seed last year , I think , I set a couple in what looked in brief like gap . Ha , not likely ! No planetary house of the other one , but this one is flowering in a desperate last gasp endeavor to propagate itself into a less crowded spot . Not in this garden , sunshine !

5 . Allium ‘ Summer Drummer ’ . Finally ! Meh , I ’m over them now . meridian is the only thing they have function for them , like a lanky purple sensory faculty .

6 . Echinops . I really need to split this clump , it is taking over a scrap .
