Today ’s photos are from Michael Toolson and Gina Wells in Boise , Idaho . Michael says,“In the leap of 2006 , I was looking for a task that would open me a arcdegree of freedom to carry myself as a landscape gardener , and that opportunity came in the form of a recently widowed Gina Wells , who move here from the East Coast to be closer to her nestling .
She had just bought a star sign in the Historic North ending of Boise that was devoid of all landscaping . There was gage , an ancient Catalpa tree , a 1930 ’s fireplace and not much else . She had some definite approximation – she wanted specimens of trees , plants , and flower that she ’d had in all the various places she ’d lived to answer as monitor , but she knew nothing about what would grow in Idaho . And she did n’t desire a crew of landscape architect . She wanted one person to sour with and deal estimation .
“ We did n’t have a formal plan . We visited nurseries together and while I try on to train her as to what would do well in our clime , she showed me what she liked , and more significantly , what she did n’t care . She gave me enormous exemption and I put my heart into kick in her my undecomposed work . The result has been a glad collaboration .

“ The yard convert from year to class , and draw wish even in the dead of wintertime . I never tire of this project and I look forward to strong weather when I can revisit old planting and introduce raw ones . Gina ’s garden is a testimonial to the importance of how the homeowner and house decorator must function closely together . ”
Great piece of work , you Guy . It ’s a beautiful garden . Thanks for sharing it !
