Yes , our little Old World Garden miniskirt - farm is really for sale ! I ’m sure that may dead sandbag and shock a few of our followers this morning . But it is indeed true . And it is not a sad metre for us at all .
First off – It is not the end of our web log . Nor the end of our OWG story . In fact , it is only making way for a new risky venture and story to get . We capably name it : Old World Garden , Version 2.0 .
We will continue to do the things we love . That means continuing to write every week about Gardening , DIY and the Food and Recipes we love . And more than ever , we will continue to speak about those topics whenever and wherever we have the chance . It is what we truly love to do , and hopefully can do so for the rest of our lives .

But we also be intimate to take on new challenges . life-time to us is about working heavily , playing heavily , take fun , embracing change , and live every day to the fullest . No regrets , no looking back . Ever .
In January , I was ask by my company to take on a fresh position in Tennessee . It gave us the chance to think about what was next for us . What was our next challenge ? Anyone that bonk us knows that “ Jim and Mary ” have always been and will always be “ dreamers , bounder , and love to doers . ” It is who we are , what we get it on , and how we live .
There are two Book that have always driven our lifespan together and our adventures – and they are simply : “ Why Not ? ” And when the challenge of creating something new , in a lovesome clime presented itself , we simply said , Why Not ? ! We have never been ones to be tied to possession . We never want to be , it is truly part of living simpleton .

We are , to use an appropriate gardening term , two peas in a pod . One thing is for certain , we love the cognitive operation of building and creating new projects and adventuresas much or even moreas enjoying them once completed . It is in the “ doing ” that we retrieve true happiness and are at our best .
There are two thing that stay on on “ aliveness ’s major bucket listing ” for us . One is to build an even smaller homestead in a ardent climate to relish outdoor living even more . The other , at full retirement , is to take a 52 week tour in a modest camping bus around the entire United States to see the country up near . Moreover , the the great unwashed , garden and mountain that our follower have in their own backyard . Someday , we will mark a check in the box for both bucket list items .
For now , it is meter to tackle # 1 on the listing . And we have hundreds of ideas floating through our head for our next project . Everything is on the table .

From creating a tiny “ Urban Home and Farm ” on a small metropolis caboodle , to rehabbing an old downtown loft building into a rooftop garden and habitation . Who make love , perhaps even building a small homestead on a little lilliputian plot of res publica in a secluded rural area . The options are endless , and I have to say we are improbably excited about a new challenge and our future .

Whatever we make up one’s mind , we will have a blast doing it . We will also greatly bask writing and telling the level . All along of course , making certain to regain a way to still grow our food , stir a few chickens , keep bee , and cook up some delicious solid food .
And so it is time to part room with our Ohio Farm and permit someone else enjoy it as it is think to be enjoyed . It would be downright impossible for us to keep two places , and completely against our principles of live simple . It was an incredible place to make and progress over the last 8 years . We are not sad . Nor upturned . We are truly lofty of what we created , and excited and quick for what is next . There is not a individual regret other than know we will miss a lot of incredible neighbors , friend and class with our move in the south . We look onwards to an amazing new chapter and challenge in our life , and to stimulate even more memories . You only get one gibe at this life and reality – why not inhabit it like crazy !
In the past tense , we have been approached often by those demand if we would sell . To be fair to all , we need the farm sale to be as uncomplicated and loose as potential for us and all possible buyer(s ) . We require to find someone who will love it as much as we did and enjoy it to the fullest . In fact , experience devoid to partake this clause with anyone who might fir the bill ! ! !
