We continue our series of looking at new roses for 2015.
While the name may not be on the hint of your tongue it ’s potential some of their rosiness . Over the years Weeks Roses has brought us classics like Living Easy , Scentimental , Fourth of July , Hot Cocoa , Julia Child , Home Run and many more . Their breeding programme was under the counselling of Tom Carruth from 1988 - 2012 and is now in the up to hands of Christian Bedard .
you’re able to find their roses in most garden middle and corner shop . Their logo is always on the picture tag so they are easy to spot . I ’ve grown many Weeks Roses ’ over the geezerhood and find most of them do very well in my sustainable garden – particularly those spawn over the last several twelvemonth .
Here are they young roses for 2015 .

While Weeks normally only introduces roses from their own breeding ancestry , every now and then they include one from another breeder . This spring up is bred by Chris Warner who reside in the UK . I ’ve raise many of Chris ’ pink wine over the years and have always been a fan . The fact that one of the “ parents ” of this move up is ‘ Westerland ’ is also exciting . Westerland is a division rose note for vigor and disease resistance .
Above All is a mounting rose that will maturate to around 10′-14′. Your sizing will vary by clime geographical zone with the greater elevation achieve by the warmer you are . The Salmon River Orange River flowers are old fashioned in appearance with a moderate , fruity fragrance . It has effective wintertime robustness so figure well to zone 5 and possible even parts of zone 4 . Westerland is known for being hardy and it appears this arise inherit that trait .
For fan of the TV show Downton Abbey here is a golden tan & pink blush with apricot reverse grandiflora prove . A grandiflora is fundamentally a tall growing hybrid tea leaf arise – Queen Elizabeth being the classic example . This means Anna will belike spring up to 5′-6′ tall . There is a moderate fruity , fruit fragrancy with svelte spice . The roses cut well for the house . The height makes it a perfect rose for the back of the border or even a hedging .

Floribundas are a particularly useful class of garden roses . They have a average sized increase riding habit , incline to well foliated , and blossom their heads off all time of year long . This spend a penny them perfect for borders , low hedges , volume planting and even in turgid pots . Doris Day bear golden yellow blooms in bunch . There is a strong , fruity fragrance with short letter of sweet spice .
For fans of strip roses ( and I ’m one of them ) come a new intercrossed tea named after an iconic Isaac Bashevis Singer . For fans of fragrant rose here is a striped blush wine bearing a strong , Greco-Roman rose flavor . Being a intercrossed tea mean it will cut well for vase display .
A tall , unsloped outgrowth habit ( figure 5 ’ mellow or so ) give you choice as to it ’s function . In a delimitation hybrid teas are best planted in tight groups of three or more to give a mass effect . Hybrid tea also display well in a classic rose garden setting . I ’ve escort some emergence in stack although the grandiloquent habit of this one means I probably would not choose to grow it that means .

cover from Double Knockout this disease repellent bush bears dark cherry-red blooms with a lighter pink reverse . It has an good , bushy outgrowth habit and that mean a tidy agriculturist in your garden . Borders , hedges , mass planting – this rosebush has many U.S.A. in any garden setting . Their is a slight tea fragrance . The authoritative afternoon tea fragrance is one I find some can smell and some ca n’t , so your olfactory impression may vary !
Let me be clear on what a miniature climber is . The name does not refer to the flora superlative , but rather refers to the bloom size . Miniature roses endure modest blooms but more often than not in clusters that cover the plant life . The plant life height can vary so always be sure to double check size before you buy a “ miniature ” rise up .
Top Of The World produce to around 10 ; high . In my Koran that ’s a moderate crampoon and a very , very useful sizing in a general garden . 4 ’ fences , pillar , trellis ; are all nominee for this rosebush . base on color I can even see it on arbor along with Above All . I ’d discipline Above all directly up the side and then along the top of the arbor so it can bear it ’s blooms along the top . Then train Top Of The World in a criss mark pattern along the side of meat to plow that part of the arbor .

The efflorescence are morose orangish with a creamy reverse and bear a moderate afternoon tea aroma . Like most “ miniature ” roses this rose will bloom continuously throughout the season . I do it climb roses but with today ’s smaller garden spaces it ’s get hard to find room for the handsome single . It ’s nice to see one come in on the market that is n’t so rearing .
