You have a decision to make when changing the lawn mower tyre . you’re able to either buy a switch tyre that is already mount to a rim or you’re able to plainly remove the savorless tyre from your existing lip and place a Modern tire on the rim . It is less expensive to use your existing rim .
Removing the Tire
Step 1
Park your Murray riding lawn mower on a level part of your driveway or garage base . Avoid alter tyre on the lawn . The jack or jack stand can sink into the ground , making removal or reinstallation of the tire hard .
Step 2
site a block of wood on each side of the tire on the diametric end of the mower that you will be forge . Place one block in front of the tyre and one block in back of the tyre .
Step 3
place the floor diddlyshit under the middle of the front frame , if you are changing the front tire . If you are interchange the rear tire , position the doodly-squat under the rearward framing .
Step 4
Raise the mower with the floor diddlysquat until the bottom of the tyre is off the flat coat . Put a jack sales booth on each side of the jack under the frame . Adjust the mariner bear so that they make contact with the mower form . depress the mower with the floor jack until all the free weight of the mower is on the diddly stands .
Step 5
Remove the shaping cap in the center of the rim . expend a dyad of pliers to turn the cap away from the flange . When take away front tyre , bend the retaining cotter pin straight with a twosome of plyers and tear the cotter tholepin out of the axle . Rear tire apply a retaining ring ; pry it off with a flathead screwdriver .
Step 6
take away the square key that is in between the axle and the flange with a pair of vise grips , if you are changing the rearward tire . Do not lose the key , because it is necessary for reinstallation .
Remove Old Tire and Install New Tire
Lay the tire and rim on a matted surface . transfer the cap from the valve stem and press a flathead screwdriver in the midriff of the valve stem to release the remaining airwave .
Remove the tyre from the brim using two pry to pluck the tyre beads from the rim . Insert one pry bar between the upper tire beading and the rim and nose up until you may insert the 2d crowbar . Insert the second pry bar and pry up and then slide the wrecking bar around the circumference of the rim to altogether remove the upper bead . murder the opposite side of the tyre the same way .
commit the Modern tire onto the rim using the crowbars to pry the tire over the lip . Use care when doing this so that you do not damage the tyre . Brush tire bead seal around the outside beads of the tyre using a small skirmish .

wind a ratch strap around the circumference of the tyre and tighten the shoulder strap until the tyre pearl wall make tangency with the rim on both side . Install New Tire on Mower
Place the tyre over the axle . If you are working on a rearward tyre , position the mountain pass on the inner rim with the notch on the axle . Tap the square key into the mountain pass with a hammer .
Place the keep back ring over the axle to secure the rear tyre . On front tire , place the cotter peg back into the axle and bend the end to ensure the tyre . Snap the pliant cap over the end of the axle .
Raise the mower with the jackstones just enough to remove the jackass support . Lower the mower to the background and remove the Mrs. Henry Wood cube .
