Joy says,“We just had a severe winter ice tempest on north shore of Lake Ontario . passel of tree damage and multitude without power for days . That part was not nice but it has been very beautiful . The sunlight shining on ice rink - cake Tree and bush is incredible . I always forefend cutting back a fortune of perennial in fall and it sure has paid off this yr . ‘ Autumn Joy ’ sedum is always good in winter . This kind of violent storm is very rare here . normally freeze rainwater is followed by mild weather and the ice melts off before you could get your tv camera out . ”
