The Old Railway Line are an independent , family draw Garden Centre , Farm Shop and restaurant in Mid - Wales . 2019 marks their thirtieth anniversary ; since its lowly origin as a 6×4 greenhouse in 1989 , owners Mark and Christine have transformed the job into the democratic and successful Garden Centre it is today . As recognition of their hard oeuvre and inscription , The Old Railway Line were award the 2018 Best Garden Centre of the Year by the Garden Centre Association .
