Creating a New Garden From Scratch

Before and after in an Australian garden

I am Marcella Mathews from Brisbane , Australia . We have been in our novel house for just over three years . I have get it on horticulture since I was a footling miss . My pop was my teacher , and he taught me all I require to get hooked . At every home I have lived in , I have created my own gardens from mark . Gardening is the well therapy ever . I fuck to be originative every chance I can . I desire other mass get a little pleasure from my photos .

Here ’s a view of the outside of the star sign shortly after we move in — before the garden was created .

And after ! We did n’t want any grass to mop in such a modest expanse .

In the background is a sign ( “ bear to garden . squeeze to cultivate . ” ) and a lacrimation can I decorated .

Fern , marigolds ( Tagetespatula , one-year ) , and bromeliads . For those of us in colder climate , bromeliads make great houseplants and can easily be plant alfresco for summer displays and then institute indoors to overwinter .

A little fagot garden I made with Sheena ’s Gold(Duranta erecta‘Sheena ’s Gold ’ , Zones 9–11 ) beside it and a bromeliad in front .

Barleria‘Purple treasure ’ ( Zones 9–11),Breynianivosa(Hawaiian snow bush , Zones 10–11 ) , and other plants make a colorful display .
