C. x corbariensis ( C. populifolius x c. salviifolius ) syn . C. x hybridus is a dense evergreen shrub with ovate , timber green leaves . White flush with xanthous centers and stamen are put forth singly and last only a day but are replenished with new ones the next . Very nice in borders , along pathways , or at the base of wall . They will thrive in piteous soil but not in colder mood .

Pruning deciduous shrubs can be divided into 4 groups : Those that requireminimal pruning(take out only dead , pathologic , damaged , or crossed branches , can be done in other spring.);spring pruning(encourages vigorous , new growth which produces summer flowers - in other words , flowers seem on new wood);summer lop after flower(after flowering , cut back shoot , and take out some of the one-time ontogenesis , down to the ground);suckering habit pruning(flowers appear on wood from previous twelvemonth . Cut back flowered stems by 1/2 , to solid get new shoots and remove 1/2 of the flowered stems a couple of inches from the ground ) Always murder all in , damaged or pathological wood first , no matter what character of pruning you are doing .
