Today being Mother ’s Clarence Shepard Day Jr. – it seemed the thoroughgoing meter to take a moment and honor all of the Moms that do so much for so many !
Happy Mother ’s Day !
Both Mary and I were very fortunate to have great momma that showed us how to subsist by their own example . They both mould extremely hard , they both garden , give the sack , and of course – made household - made meals that were the backbone of our growing up . Gee – I wonder where we got our love of the garden and canning from ? 🙂

Happy Mother’s Day!
There are some things you just can not apprise about your ma until you are older . Like how much patience they have , how much they care , even when you were too young and obtuse to have mean they did n’t 🙂 – and how much they do every unmarried day of their lives to check that their children are cared for , protected , and secure . It is astonishing how concentrated they exploit to make certain their children grow up to have respect and love for others .
Mary ’s Mom And Dad
Even as my own female parent turns 89 this month – I can still say that if I hear my name call out with the halfway name include – I am probably in some type of trouble :) .

Mary’s Mom And Dad
I have been so golden in my life to be circumvent by not only an incredible mom – but incredible women that I admire and face up to . All of my four older sisters ( all mothers of class ) are some of the most hard - work and wonderful hoi polloi you could ever meet . They too of course love to garden – are all great cooks – and have raised wonderful families of their own . Mary ’s mammy is right up there as well in my book – raising 4 wonderful nestling , and always taking time out to proudly talk about our little farm to anyone and everyone she can wish only a proud mom can do .

And then of course of study there is Mary . This past week – as I went out of town for a few days on a business head trip – she not only found the time to make meals for the kids , work her full - time job and keep the base and farm endure smoothly – but also to somehow squeeze in the time and exploit to plant most all of our Lycopersicon esculentum , peppers and the remainder of our bounce crops in the garden – all because the conditions was gross and she was concern this weekend ’s rain would arrange us back . Amazing !

I have always loved the saying “ If you need something done , give it to someone who is already busy and it will get done . – maybe that should be “ If you need something done , give the labor to a mom and it will get done !
So here is to all the wonderful mama out there today – enjoy your Clarence Day – you deserve it ! ! !
