These were chintzy and great from the botanical garden sale .

Not having even looked at any of the anticipation or study regarding general gardening behavior , here is my wishful thought for the coming year :

More six - packs , fewer pricy branded potsI am lucky enough to be able to order interesting new cultivar from the yearly sale our botanical garden has — and they actually come in 4- and 6 - packs for $ 4 . Such packaging is becoming ever more rare . At the garden center , I bed I ’ll be see the usual 4.5 - inch ( sometimes already stem - tie up ) pots of brand annuals for as much as $ 6 - 7 . Sure , they have 6 - gang , but they make indisputable they ’re the most ho-hum , has - been plant in the articulation .

No more plant life Nite emails from GrouponThese are kill succulents for me ( not that it would have learn much ) . Most of the promotional stroke show some fishbowl - type containers with lurid hues of colored sand layered below a few plants and maybe a couple of those rocks that have words on them . I ’m assuming the wine-coloured must make these seem more attractive , because the women bind them look really happy .

Better solar lightsWe have a set of six small traditionally powered spotlight that have been working well without incident for over 10 long time . We also have a set of 8 really expensive solar lanterns that only influence ( for a while ) if we take and tear their panels for hours each day . I ’ve given up on them , but most lighting expert I talk to harmonise that small solar units in the main suck . The light is n’t that heavy even in optimal condition .
