Happy Halloween , garden ghosts ! We have a special treat today from Pam Wittenburg out in California , and I wo n’t be surprised if some of you get a new annual tradition as a solvent … Pam says,“Every class we have a autumn pumpkin toss from our deck and a pumpkin slingshot from our patio as a means of convey a little more enjoyment out of our Jack O’Lanterns as we return them to the garden .
“ As a result , each year we have volunteer pumpkins and gourd vine that hybridize and surprise us with the miscellanea that come along . This twelvemonth the ‘ Cinderella ’ pumpkin is dependable to make and is the crowing yob of the garden as it has mount the shrubs and the arbor to make its mode skywards . Some pruning and a pumpkin vine hummock here and there have help some of the fruit along , while others have yield to the critter . Here are some picture of the Tennessean harvest this year , along with a few photo of the slingshots and pumpkin tosses of the past . ”
So much fun , Pam !
