Winged friends enjoy the snacks offered in this northern garden

Today we ’re enjoy some beautiful photos by Dianne Nodine and her husband , Paul . They go in Belfast Maine , where they sleep together garden and jazz growing plants that help wildlife . They also love snap beautiful conniption from nature , as you will see !

A crowned head butterfly rests on a purple coneflower ( Echinacea purpurea , Zones 3–9 ) . The bloom of bloom in the daisy family , like this coneflower , are called composite rosiness because they are made up of many humble flowers growing tightly together . butterfly stroke enjoy them because they provide a lot of nectar to sip and a nice wide region to shore on .

This monarch is on a Mexican sunflower ( Tithonia rotundifolia , annual ) . Once again , the daisy flower - flesh is a butterfly favorite . The Mexican sunflower is , of course , from Mexico , which is where this monarch — or maybe one of its children — will be lead when the time total for them to migrate in the south for the winter .

A butterfly bush ( Buddleia davidii , Zones 6–9 ) is always a preferent with hungry worm .

Monarchs are among the most darling of butterflies , but many other beautiful species can be found in the garden . This red full admiral has block off by for some nectar , which is a little strange .
